Fresh Peachy Banana Boat

Quick, Healthy Breakfast or Dessert - this will only take a couple of minutes ! #BananaBoat #FruitBreakfast #FruitDessert

During the warmer months there is not really anything better than fresh fruit for dessert or even breakfast.

My family is not the baked banana kind of people. Banana Bread, oh yes, but I think that is just about as far as I can take them with warm Banana recipes.

When it is very hot, I will serve this fresh Peachy Banana Boat with ice-cream or whipped cream, but in general, especially for breakfast, we have it as is.

The ingredients can also be changed as to what you have on hand as most fruit, if not all, goes very well with bananas. I always try to serve these Banana Boats with Peaches as the two flavors compliment one another so immensely.

Unfortunately, we do not always have fresh Cherries available, and I use Glace, but my first choice is always to go with fresh.

6 Servings

1 can (110g) Granadilla Pulp  {Passion Fruit}
1/4 cup Pineapple Juice
2 t Honey
6 Firm Bananas
Juice of 1 Lemon
2 - 3 Peaches, cut into small cubes
1/3 cup Cherries, chopped  {fresh or glace}

1.) Mix together the Granadilla Pulp, Pineapple Juice and Honey in a small mixing bowl - chill until needed.
2.) Slice the Bananas in half, lengthwise - remove a little of the flesh of the flat side of each banana to make a sort of slight hollow - sprinkle with Lemon Juice.
3.) Place the Bananas on individual serving plates - fill with the chopped Peaches and Cherries.
4.) Drizzle the Granadilla syrup over and serve.
